The Golden Apple

The Golden Apple is a piece by myself and Dublin poet Morag Dine. Her words muse on obsession with unattainable beauty and the damage it inflicts, but also on the solace that comes with accepting our imperfections. I tried to create something organic and imperfect to support the poem by splicing together many different kinds of material, from archive recordings of old makeup tutorials to poorly recorded modular synth bleeps.

The Golden Apple will be released this June in the debut edition of Big Birds, a new collective of Dublin-based female artists.
