Shelf - Scene & Heard Festival 2017

Shelf is a play by Spare Box Theatre that was performed at Smock Alley’s Scene & Heard Festival 2017. A tale of libraries, loneliness and love, it follows a librarian whose written world is slowly disappearing as the digital world threatens to close her workplace.

This piece is something I composed for a dream sequence within the play, where the librarian becomes lost in the existential marvels of an astrophysics book. Featured sounds include European Space Agency recordings and stretched-beyond-recognition pop songs.
